This year I’ve updated these FREE bookmarks!

Hi friends! I typically don’t like the idea of Trick-or-Treating, but I’m super excited about Halloween this year! The last few months I’ve been praying for the families in my neighborhood. I’m looking forward to seeing the little faces I’ve been praying for! ๐Ÿ’—

To encourage the families in my neighborhood I’ve created little bookmarks to attach to my goodies. On one side there is an illustrated animal with a fun fact. The opposite side says “Our family prayed for your family!” and the verse “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever. Psalm 136:1”

Click the image above to be taken to my 2 page PDF – make sure to click Duplex Printing in your Print Dialog Box! I suggest printing on double-sided photo paper for best outcome.

Let me know how you choose to give out your treats! ๐Ÿ˜Š Tag your social media posts with #halloweenbookmarks and #prayforyourneighborhood! ๐Ÿ’—

And now I am thrilled to introduce you to my mother-in-law and Christian Author, Julie K. Gillies. To say she’s a Prayer Warrior would be an understatement. Her first book Prayers for a Woman’s Soul is a devotional for women to cover themselves in soul-pampering prayer. Her latest book From Hot Mess To Blessed encourages women to believe God’s hopeful promises for our lives! If you’re looking for Christmas gifts, you may find that these books are a great choice for all the ladies on your list! ๐Ÿ’—

Today she’s given us a powerful prayer to pray for the children in our neighborhood as we assemble our treats and wait by the door – will you join us?

Dear Lord, I pray Your blessing over every child who comes to my door today. Lord, stir their hearts and reach out to them. Bring godly friends into their lives and put books and materials into their hands that will lead them to You. May each child who comes to my door tonight come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.

May they walk in light, embrace Your truth, and experience Your love for themselves. May they know their future is in Your hands (Psalm 31:15), and always take delight in You, Lord (Psalm 37:4). May they understand what is just, right, and fair, and find the right way to go (Proverbs 2:9). May wisdom enter their hearts and knowledge fill them with joy (Proverbs 2:10). May wise choices watch over them and understanding keep them safe (Proverbs 2:11).  Lord, show them Your unfailing love in wonderful ways (Psalm 17:7a) all the days of their lives.

It is in the precious name of Jesus that I ask these things, knowing You are good and You are able, Amen.

Feel free to share the above image to encourage your friends also to join us in prayer!

This bookmark freebie is for personal use ONLY! Do not edit it or use commercially. You are more than welcome to share on your blog or website, but please link to this original blog post. Enjoy!!! ๐Ÿ˜Š

  1. Hi, Audrey !
I had seen you on facebook, and went out to your website just to peruse. I left a message for you on the latest fb post, though.
Im familiar with your mother-in-law, because i enjoyed her blog when i was going thru hard times. I think I will look for her again.
I was curious as to why you had a halloween post when you seemed to be a Godly Christian…but when I read your post, I wasnt dis-satisfied !

Prayer for the neighbors sure is important, and you made a darling way to get the Word of God into their houses.

You make the cutest stuff ever !

I hope you will do more illustrated Scriptures. They’d make the Scriptures come alive.
Home educators OR Christian school teachers could hang them on the classroom walls.
Whole Bible chapters could be memorized this way.
They could be purchased by topics, as singles, chapters, etc
I’m glad to have met you, Audrey.
Im 64, and Im very sick with shingles…deep nerve pain.
    How are you doing?
    God bless you, I pray.

    1. Absolutely loved hearing from you, Narda! I’m so glad Julie’s blog was helpful during challenging seasons! She’s currently working on her third book “Prayers for a Hot Mess”! ๐Ÿ˜Š
I hope you’ll be able to take part in the bookmark giveaway this year – it truly is a delight to share the light of Christ with our neighbors!
Thank you for all your sweet encouragement – asking that God will give a fresh dose of joy in this new day! ๐Ÿ’•

  2. Hello and thank you for this opportunity to show grace to our neighborhood!! I’m taking this down to my local Staples to have them print off these bookmarks! I’m not on FB but I will try to find you on Instagram. Thanks again!
