I’m so thankful for the peace that Mr. Rogers brought to television! He wasn’t just a face on the screen. He was a man that stepped into our lives and no matter what was going on loved us. What a beautiful soul! What are some of your favourite memories or learning points from watching Mr. Rogers Neighborhood?
I don’t think Mr. Rogers would want us to just leave those memories in our childhood! I think he’d want us as adults to extend that love and acceptance to the real neighborhoods we live in. How can you show kindness to your neighbors? Maybe it’s a pot full of soup to the family who just had a new baby. Maybe it’s sitting on the porch with your lonely elderly neighbor for a half hour. Maybe it’s just taking a deep breath and choosing not to be angry when “that one neighbor” does something that annoys you. I’m excited to hear how you decide to share love to those around you!
